EDB #postgresql Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for RDBMS

The 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems is now available and reflects several important trends and interesting market changes.
One of the most significant changes is the continued movement of open source databases, like EDB Postgres, into the Leaders quadrant alongside giant proprietary vendors like Oracle, Microsoft and IBM.
In fact, Gartner reports that by 2018, 70% of all new applications and 50% of all existing applications will be moved to open source relational databases like EDB Postgres.

Further, Gartner reports the performance of opens source is now at parity with commercial options but with dramatic total cost of ownership advantages.
